Collection search - Central registry files of the Production and Marketing Branch, Plant Protection Division, B.C. Regional Office [textual record]

This accession consists of several series of files (variously numbered or alphabetically arranged) from the Vancouver office of the Production and Marketing Branch, Plant Protection Division. The files contain almost wholly the import declarations and health certificates for plant products shipped into Canada - also inspections, detention and seizure orders (and some incidental correspondence), phytosanitary certificates from Canada for both imports and exports, as well as such certificates from other countries for plant product imports into Canada. Two boxes contain material from the 1930's and 1940's (and possibly earlier) held by the division as its "history". Some series of files stretch back to the 1930's, but most cover 1966-1968 and 1978-1979 and include a typed speech dated 1899 on insect pest control.

These records were originally held in British Columbia. They were transferred to the National Capital Region in 2016 and are available for consultation there.
