The records in this accession consist of central registry files created and maintained by the British Columbia Penitentiary in New Westminster, B.C. Box 1 contains files from the Penitentiary's "General" series of records. Subjects found in this series include policy and planning, inmate segregation, inmate training, liaison and membership with outside agencies and internal conferences. Box 2 contains records from the "Material Management" series and includes such topics as patrol dogs, alarms, T.V. monitoring, as well as various files related to supply issues.

These records were originally held in British Columbia. They were transferred to the National Capital Region in 2016 and are available for consultation there.
