This accession consists of registry files on real estate services related to the acquisition and leasing of buildings and lands by the Department of Public Works during 1974 to 1984. the files contain correspondence, memoranda, plans, surveys, photos and many legal documents pertaining to the activities cararied out by Public Works on behalf of such clients as the Department of Transport, the RCMP, the CBC and the Canadian Wildlife Service. Subjects include the erection of transmitter towers, wharves, land for lighthouse access roads, railway rights-of-way and police detachment buildings in the four maritime provinces.

The records in this accession are currently under review for their archival value.

These records were originally held in Nova Scotia. They were transferred to the National Capital Region in 2016 and are available for consultation there.
