Collection search - War industry [graphic material]

Unlike some of the other sub-series in this accession and in the fonds as a whole, which are organized by the prefix assigned to them by the creator of the records, this sub-series category was assigned by the archivist.

Most of these images come from the 1964-114 NPC accession. This material was sought out by military authorities to supplement the Canadian War Records Office's photographic record of the war and was added to the Department of Militia and Defence's collection during the inter-war era. The material remained with the Department of National Defence until transferred to the Public Archives in 1963. Most of these images were not created by military authorities but rather sent to them by companies involved in war industry.
