General note:

The Punisher is a famous anti-hero/vigilante character from Marvel comics, and first appeared in a Spider Man comic in the 1970s. The Punisher: War Journal, was the first solo comic series for the character. The 1st volume of War Journal ran for 80 issues, between 1988 and 1995, and featured a wide variety of artists and writers.This drawing was created for Issue 16, which was published in March 1990 and centered around The Punisher teaming up with Spider-Man to help deal with a hostage situation. Issue 16 is the only Punisher: War Journal that Canadian illustrator Neil Hansen worked on, though he did pencil other stories that involved the Punisher that were not apart of the series.
