The comic for which this drawing was done is based on the original Tomb of Dracula comic series, which was published by Marvel comics in the seventies and introduced the character Blade into the Marvel universe. This comic was part of a four parts series published by Marvel that ran from December 2005 until March 2004. It was written by Robert Rodi and Bruce Jones and pencilled by Jamie Tolagson. In the series, Blade and a group of Vampire hunters fight to stop the legendary Dracula from completing a ceremony that will give him the powers of a god.
