This sub-series provides a record of the activities of the Right Honourable Paul Martin as a speaker from December 2003 to February 2006. It contains a comprehensive series of the original speeches and drafts of speeches (with strikethroughs and annotations) he gave when he was Prime Minister of Canada.

Among the numerous speeches found in the sub-series, of particular interest is the speech Paul Martin gave after he was sworn in as Prime Minister of Canada; the response to the Auditor General's report on the sponsorship scandal in February 2004; the speech at the launch of the 2004 election; numerous election campaign speeches; the victory speech following the 2004 election; speeches on same sex marriage; the speech on the motion of confidence in May 2005; the speech following the publication on November 1, 2005, of the Gomery Commission report on the sponsorship scandal; and Paul Martin's last speech to caucus in January 2006.
