Item consists of 1 print of an illustration in a postcard format. The postcard advertises the 2004 Ottawa Animation Festival and lists the dates and locations for the event. The illustrationd epicts a wide range of stange, human like cartoons who are all colored with an orange hue. The information on the front of the postcard is in both english and french. The back of the postcard features further information about the festival.

According to the text printed on the item, the 2004 Ottawa International Film Festival took place from September 22-26th, 2004 at the Bytowne Cinema, National Arts Centre, and the National Gallery of Canada.

The back of the item advises that entry deadline for the festival is July 2nd, 2004. Also mentioned are the special exhibits that would be the focus of the festival. The exhibits listed are: Hayao Miyazaki, Popeye, Fred Crippen (Roger Ramjet), Soviet Propaganda, Co Hoedeman, 10 years of French animation, Robert Breer, Stephanie Maxwell, New Faces of Canadian Animation, Words in Motion, and Harvey Birdman.
