General note:

This map is dated January 23, 1809, a couple of days before the British Army landed in Martinique on January 30.
George Prevost, then Lieutenant-Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Nova Scotia (Sherbrooke's predecessor), was involved in the capture of Martinique in the context of the Napoleonic Wars. He came back in Nova Scotia in April 1809.
