Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the Saskatchewan Regional Office of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada.

The accession includes, but is not limited to, records relating to: economic development, including mining and the Canadian Aboriginal Economic Development Strategy (CAEDS), environmental protection, including house servicing, sustainable development, environmental emergencies, and compliance audits; environmental assessment, including committees, procedures, processes, impact assessments, assessments under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act (CEAA), the Federal Environmental Assessment Index (FEAI), environmental program evaluation, environmental program funding, contaminants (such as PCBs, pesticides and herbicides), sites reclamation, and waste disposal; and natural resources, including forestry, wildlife trapping, hunting and management, mining, oil and gas, and sand and gravel.

These records were originally housed in Edmonton, but were later transferred to British Columbia. They were transferred again in 2016 and are now located in the National Capital Region and are available for consultation there.
