Collection search - Immigration medical files of the Medical Services Branch, Pacific Region, Vancouver, B.C. [textual record]

These very thin case files contain a routine MSB Preliminary Medical Examination form for arriving immigrants. Those files examined contained no rejections or notices of significant ailments, but rather only the notation that the client was in good health. For more details of the forms and information collected, see accession V86-87/195. The only material on the files in addition to the above-mentioned form are routine notices of routing material from one office to another, occasionally printed copies of immigration regulations, and results of chest x-rays (these do not include original x-ray, just one-line reports of the results: e.g., "chest and lungs clear").

These records were originally held in British Columbia. They were transferred to the National Capital Region in 2016 and are available for consultation there.
