Collection search - Central registry files and press clipping scrapbooks [textual record]

This accession consists primarily of files from the Central Registry, similar to those found in series G 26 in the existing inventory. There is the occasional file from the previous registry, found in series G 21. While much of the material spans the time period between these two central registries, ongoing records were incorporated into the more recent G 26 registry.
The records cover a wide range of subject matters of importance to the Governor General, including constitutional questions, criminal cases, Second World War subject files, provincial affairs, awards, charities, tours, and state visits.
Also contained in this accession are a number of scrapbooks containing newspaper clippings from 1905 to 1984.
