Accession consists of files from the 4 Block - Committees Operating Under Council Funds - of the first National Research Council central registry system. Committees were established by the Council in order to help in the fulfillment of its mandate. Included are organization, membership, policy, staff and terms of reference files from the Asbestos Research Committee; the Chemical Warfare Committee; the Fire Hazards Hydraulic Research Committee; the Laundry Research Committee; the Medical Research Committee; the National Sheep Committee; the Petroleum Committee; the Sir Frederick Banting Fund Committee; the Wool Research Committee; etc.
