This series includes photographic portraits of Robert H. Hubbard and his friends and acquaintances at various times in his life; Governors General and Lieutenant Governors General; official Government House staff photographs and photographs taken at various conferences, receptions, award ceremonies and royal visits. Some prominent individuals featured include: the British royal family, Pope John Paul II, the King of Belgium, the Queen of the Netherlands, the Queen of Greece, Pierre Elliott Trudeau, Gabrielle Roy, Jean Sutherland Boggs, Judy LaMarsh, Charles Comfort, Kathleen Fenwick, Vincent Massey, Alan Jarvis, and Anya Sarnsby. Additional subjects include nature, architecture and works of art. Photographers include Karsh, John Evans, Mike Davis, George S. Zimbel and Michael Bedford.

There are approximately 980 slides, most of which appear to be related to lectures given by Dr. Hubbard. Many of the slides of artwork, architecture, interior decoration, scenes and people are unidentified. Among the identified material is a package of slides with copies of a manuscript and related correspondence for a lecture entitled "From Rock and Ice to Leafy Isles: The Bishops of Newfoundland and Bermuda, 1787-1925" presented to the Canadian Church Historical Society on 8 November 1985. Slides in the envelpes labelled with the names of Canada's various Governors General appear to relate to lectures on Rideau hall described in the manuscript series "Writings and research. Rideau Hall" (MIKAN 129641).
