Series contains photographs relating to Davies' activities as an actor and novelist. It includes photographs of Davies as Malvolio in a 1937 Oxford University Dramatic Society production of Twelfth Night as well as photographs of Jessica Tandy and John Gielgud from the same era. There is a photograph of Davies with Marian Engel, Scott Young, C.T. Bissell and others at the conferral of the Toronto Book Prize. Included is a grouping of publicity photos of Davies from 1954 to 1990. There is a photograph of Davies and American First Lady Hillary Clinton.

Arrangement note:

Series note was derived from appendix to 2002 deed of gift. Certain photographs are retained in this series. Others had been placed elsewhere in finding aid.
