The series consists of three albums or scrapbooks of newspaper clippings collected by the Canada Committee from Canadian English and French daily newspapers. The album covering 1964 to 1972 (vol. 29) primarily contains clippings from the Montreal Star, the Montreal Gazette, La Presse and Le Devoir, but it also includes clippings from other Canadian newspapers. The topics covered include the Quebec Separatist movement, the Quebec Nationalist movement, the economic consequences of Quebec independence, bilingualism, federal transfer payments to the provinces, Confederation, the Fulton-Favreau amending formula for the Constitution, special status among the provinces for Quebec, the Laurendeau-Dunton Commission, relations between English and French Canada, the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism, unilingualism in Quebec, federal-provincal joint programs, Quebec provincial politics, French Canadian minorities outside Quebec, the publication Option-Canada, remarks of T. R. Anthony Malcolm, the founding of the Canada Committee, The Canada Committee Declaration, and elitism in Canadian and Quebec education. The album also contains a report on a program to aid Quebec industry from the Chamber of Commerce of the Province of Québec.
The second album (vol. 30), covering 1969-1971, primarily contains clippings from Quebec daily newspapers but also includes clippings from other Canadian newspapers and periodicals. Topics include commentary on the cost of Quebec separation, activities, publications and views of The Canada Committee and its members, Canada Week, The Young Canada Committee, Quebec politics and economy, the edited text of a speech delivered by Stan Grey to delegates at Glendon College's Year of the Barricade conference, demonstrations and civil unrest, views on the Monarchy, meeting of the Federal Government's Constitutional Committee, businesses leaving the Province of Quebec, role of the news service of Radio-Canada, promotion of federalism, separatist publicity, activities of the Pro-Canada Association and merger with The Canada Committee, political views of Quebec teachers, the St. Léonard school question, Canada Week, publication This is Canada by Bernard Jaffé, the Quebec election campaign (1970), exodus of Westmount residents from the Province of Quebec, Quebec legislation, unity organizations, the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism, the National Committee for Canada, and foreign aid to subversive activities in Quebec.
The third album (vol. 31), covering 1971-1975, contains clippings primarily from English and French Quebec daily newspapers, but also includes clippings from other newspapers and other periodicals. Topics include the first Montreal hearing on the parliamentary committee on the constitution, French-Canadian alienation, views on the monarchy, Canadian unity, the Metropolitan Toronto Social Planning Council, activities of the Front de Libération du Québec, the Atlantic Section of the Canada Committee, the Committee for an Independent Canada, Quebec provincial election (1973), Educanada student exchange program of the Canada Committee, Quebec provincial legislation, La Société Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Québec, and Canada Week activities.
