Mainly, the series involves publicizing Harbourfront programming: including the IFOA, the Reading Series, ALOUD: the Festival of Young Readers, poetry readings for the Griffin Prize and the Governor General's Literary Award, Northern Encounters Literary Festival, Earth Spirit Festival, World Poetry Festival, CELAFI (Celebrating African Identity), PEN benefits, a Humber College course, a protest against censorship and benefit film screenings.

Contains mainly marketing files and publicity material for events. Documents include: programmes and proofs for programmes, stickers, bookmarks, promotional cards, handouts, media reports and clippings, copies of advertising, form letters to patrons and members, invitations to events, newsletters (such as What's on at Harbourfront Centre, monthly Review of literary events and Preface), printed lists of authors who have read at Harbourfront, invitations to media, press releases, schedules of readings, programmes for the Harbourfront Festival Prize and other prizes, expense reports, business cards, pricelists for chapbooks, ticket order forms, press packages, three lithographs by Margaret Atwood, posters (for the IFOA, Reading Series and for several sponsored events), and signed book bags from Harbourfront events. Also includes 2 photographs, a star map and certificate, Harbourfront letterhead and samples of promotion by other organizations.

The series includes some correspondence and notes of Harbourfront staff: including media/marketing staff, directors John Colombo and Don Cullen, as well as instructions to staff, memos, a programme for a Toronto merit award for Gatenby and notes scheduling readings from Greg Gatenby's directorship, copies of mentions of Harbourfront in literary fiction, and instructions and research on archival preservation and copying of Harbourfront archives.
