This album, containing photos of Western Canada, was used by Mr. C.E.S. Smith to promote immigration to Western Canada in the 1920s and 1930s. Mr. C.E.S. Smith worked with the Department of Immigration and Colonization: as a Colonization agent in the Central United States, and as District Superintendent of Immigration for the Western District based in Winnipeg. The album was subsequently maintained by the Department of Citizenship and Immigration.
