Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the British Columbia Regional Office of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada and its predecessors. Predecessors include: the Gitksan Carrier District Office, the Terrace District Office, and the Terrace Agency.

The accession includes, but is not limited to records relating to: federal-provincial relations; education, including non-Indian pupils in Indian schools, school committees on reserves, and in-service training of teachers; reports and returns, including employment and relocation reports; arts and crafts, including woodwork; social activities; and welfare, including Canada Pension Plan, and Work Opportunity Program.
