General note:

Drawn and signed by Heinrich Wenzl Klutschak, an Austrian artist and surveyor who was part of the expedition lead by Frederick Schwatka in 1878-1880 in search of documents from the Franklin expedition.

In 1881, Klutschak published is own account of this expedition: Als Eskimo unter den Eskimos : eine Schilderung der Erlebnisse der Schwatka'schen Franklin-Aufsuchungs-Expedition in den Jahren 1878-80, Wien, A. Hartleben, 1881.
The map published in this book may have been based on this one.
