Series consists of unpublished poems and plays as well as published satires from Alexander D. Angus (1934-1940); extensive letters to his parents D. Forbes and Mary E. Angus, particularly while he was at school in Ottawa (1925-1928) and in the RCAF (1940-1941), numerous letters from his mother (1926-1941), plus letters from others (1930-1941).

Angus, Alexander D. (David), 1911-1941 : Alexander David Angus (1911-1941) was the youngest son of D. Forbes Angus and a grandson of R.B. Angus. He was educated at Ashbury College, Ottawa. He was a poet, playwright, writer and satirist. He was the author of "Old Quebec: In the Days Before Our Day" (1946, 1955) which was published posthumously by his family. In 1940 he joined the RCAF and became a pilot officer. Angus was killed in an airplane crash at Mount Hope ON in March 1941.
