Series consists of letters received by Donald F. Angus, some personal and financial records, press clippings and obituaries. Some letters relate to his work with the Quebec Council of the St. John Ambulance and the Numismatics and Antiquarian Society of Montreal. There is also a file on his royal coat of arms from the Chester Herald (1964-1972) and material relating to his estate (1974-1975).

Series also contains letters received by Donald's wife, Mary W. (White) Angus (1916-1917), letters from General Tommy Burns (1915-1918 and 1945-1980), letters to her husband-to-be (1923-1925), and her general correpondence (1940-1982).

Angus, Donald Forbes, 1895-1974 : Donald Forbes Angus (1895-1974) was a son of D. Forbes Angus and a grandson of R.B. Angus. He was educated at Brockville and Kingston. He was a lieutenant in the Canadian Army 1915-1918. He was a founding member of the Canadian Railway Historical Association (1932) and was its Honorary President, 1959-1974. He was also president of the Numismatic and Antiquarian Society of Montreal 1957-1968. Angus was a Knight in the Order of St. John of Jerusalem and was Commissioner for Quebec for the St. John Ambulance 1949-1954. He died on 23 Oct. 1974. He married Mary W. White (1897-1991) of St. John NB in 1925. Their only child, Fred (Frederick Forbes) Angus (1935-2007) was a professional engineer and was involved in early CPR computerization. He was a founder of the Canadian Railway Museum at Delson QC, author of several books on Canadian streetcars and editor of "Canadian Rail" for 26 years.
