This series consists of correspondence, reports, memoranda, notes, briefs and some press material. There are also agendas, minutes and summaries in these files.

These files document the work of the Cabinet Committee on Canadian Unity, with much emphasis on the period 1989-19991, a very critical period on constitutional reform efforts. The files reveal discussions between Murray and the federal government with provincial counterparts as they sought to negotiate a way through the constitutional crisis. There are also some several files on the Ad Hoc Cabinet Committee on Tax Reform.
