Sam Etcheverry, a football quarterback with the Montreal Alouettes who was traded to Hamilton and subsequently signed with the St. Louis Cardinals, talks with Bob Quintrell about the dispute involving his contract negotiations. Film clips of the 1955 Grey Cup game are included. Douglas Leiterman moderates a debate on the financial feasibility and effectiveness of civil fallout shelters with R.B. Curry, Director of the Emergency Measures Organization of Civil Defence; and Dr. R.H. Wright of the British Columbia Research Council. Both panelists present opening statements and later answer questions from the assembled studio audience. Topics include: methods of ensuring maximum human survival in the event of a nuclear attack; provision for incarcerated prisoners; and the need for greater investment in peace research.
