The LIP was established in 1971 as a National Programme to short-term employment, to develop worker skills, and to draw on local initiative for community betterment (day care, handicapped and senior citizen projects, crafts, etc.). These individual case files contain applications, project description, progress reports, financial data, and related correspondence.
The OFY Programme, created in 1971, aimed at providing short-term employment for unemployed young people. These files contain the original proposal, application, departmental assessment, financial data, progress reports, and related correspondence.
