The group is concerned because Bill C-24, the Canada-Peru Free Trade Agreement, is currently before the Canadian Senate. The speakers are: Ben Powless, who was in Peru working with AIDESEP, an organization that represents approximately 600,000 Amazon Indians, and who also has worked with IMPSMO and the Indigenous Enivironmental Network; Robert Lovelace, former chief of the Ardoch Algonquin First Nation, who spent time in jail for opposing uranium exploration and mining on indigenous land in eastern Ontario; and Verda Cook, trade campaigner at the Polaris Institute.Language:English / FrançaisNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
