Description:

Film about an exhibit at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto about Trinidad and Tobago. Intertitles read: "Southernmost of the West Indies, off the coast of Venezuela - Trinidad and Tobago."; Twenty-five hundred miles north - Toronto, Capital of Ontario, the Queen City of Canada" and "Home of the Canadian National Exhibition - A Great agency for fostering Empire and International trade." The film illustrates the many products being manufactured and exported from Trinidad, including coconuts, coffee, and cane sugar as well as molasses, rum and asphalt "From the world famous Pitch Lake at La Brea". The film ends with scenes at the Toronto CNE and a flashing marquee at the CNE entrance which reads "Golden Jubilee" (1928).

1. The only reference to this title in "The Films of The Ontario Motion Picture Bureau Catalogue" appears to be a 1-reel 16mm film entitled Trinidad At C.N.E., made sometime before 1934. The catalogue states that no other information is available about this title.~2. Crown material over 50 years - copyright expired.
