Photo depicting Florence Yvon in front of her house with three of her children in Saint Labre, Manitoba. Florence is the wife of farmer Louis Yvon. In May 1956, Mr. Yvon, a farmer and father of eight children from Saint Labre, lost his only source of income when a fire destroyed his barn and cattle. Within days, the Carillon News (Eugene Derksen as editor) organized a fundraiser which brought money to buy two cows from Albert Laramée, a farmer from La Broquerie, to give to the Yvon family.
