Description:

Six parts documentary series concerning the harnessing of the Ruper River in Northern Quebec and its impact on the Cree people. It follows a group of canooers who will be the last to paddle the whole length of the river, 600 kilometres in 6 weeks. The Rupert Dam will divert 70 per cent of the river North and change the face of the river forever. Many Crees consider that this project is a boon for their economy and their people, which is facing social problems. But is it worth the sacrifice, will the money given be invested in long term projects? <22mn 20s>
