Collection search - Mancase correspondence files [textual record]

Accession consists of memoranda, incoming originals from individuals and organizations to the Minister, and outgoing carbons of letters signed by senior departmental officials.

The Mancase file series consisted of queries, comments and complaints from the public regarding all aspects of the department's manpower program including job opportunities, unemployment, economic conditions, and to a lesser extent immigration.

The correspondence was handled in headquarters, and matches the ministerial, deputy Minister's series, and regional offices. The files were assigned numbers in the order in which they were received by the department at headquarters. The files represent a random sample.
