To fight this battle, the British industry was not enough to build enough planes and some had to be built in Canadian and American factories. To transport these new bombers to England, Canadian civilian pilots had to flew over the North Atlantic in winter, something never had ever done before. Over the course of the war, more than 9,000 aircraft were ferried across the ocean. This documentary concerns the history of this endeavour and includes interviews with some of the surviving pilots. <44mn 36s>Language:EnglishNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
