Sound recording containing a compilation of orchestral arrangments by Neil Chotem. Included are: All the Things You Are (composed by Jerome Kern), preceded by the opening theme and announcements for Variety Showcase, the CBC radio series on which it was broadcast; Siboney; Lazy Afternoon; Temptation; Black Is the Color of My True Love's Hair; Prairie Junction; That's All; What Shall We Do with the Drunken Sailor; South Pacific Suite, preceded by an announcement in French; Willow Weep for Me, followed by a fragment of studio talk; Manteca; Taboo. <43mn 13s>

1. Other extent, physical details information: 3 audio reels : polyester, copy, 15 ips ; 18 cm in diam.~2. Each audio reel box is labelled as a "dub" of "DePriest cassette". Possibly the cassette was made for James DePriest, director of the Orchestre symphonique de Québec who conducted several Chotem works in the 1980s. The Chotem fonds does not include the DePriest cassette itself.~3. The first reel contains All the Things You Are, Siboney, and the beginning of Lazy Afternoon. The second reel contains the remainder of Lazy Afternoon, Temptation, Black Is the Color of My True Love's Hair, and the beginning of Prairie Junction. The third reel contains the remainder of Prairie Junction, That's All, What Shall We Do with the Drunken Sailor, South Pacific Suite, Willow Weep for Me, Manteca, Taboo.~4. The second reel is affected by mild hydrolysis. Treatment required prior to playback.
