This sub-series contains correspondence, reports, manuals, discussions papers, drafts on internal issues of the NAFC, such as: files on the transfer agreement between Minister of Canadian Heritage and the NAFC respecting the AFCP, correspondence on the evaluation plan of the AFCP, correspondence and discussion papers on Aboriginal governance and self-government (NAFC prepared a position paper on self-government for urban Aboriginal peoples for the 1992 Constitutional negotiations), NAFC's internal policies and NAFC criteria and guidelines; correspondence with local friendship centres regarding membership (applications for) and financial statements; manual on policies and procedures for the efficient operations of the NAFC, protocol agreements and memorandums of understating between NAFC and other Aboriginal organizations; several files containing the results of the Friendship Centre Survey that was intended to provide NAFC with statistical overview of the Friendship centre Movement across Canada; and several files from the NAFC Strategic Planning Council, struck by the AGM in July 1992 to develop priorities, future direction and a strategic plan for the NAFC.
