The series consists of a combination of Coutts's administrative operational records and reference files, all documenting his involvement with the United World Colleges (UWC) organization (of which Pearson College formed a part), including his participation in annual and special meetings and functions between 1996 and 2002. Also scattered throughout these files are correspondence and e-mails to and from other UWC members and various Canadian businessmen and politicians. The series documents Coutts's initiatives and international networking abilities as he represented Canada and Pearson College at various UWC events and meetings. Furthermore, the series sheds light on Coutts's renowned expertise as a fundraiser, as well as his insights regarding policy development and the adoption of effective operational strategies and procedures.
