The series comprises correspondence (including e-mails), memoranda, agendas, itineraries, notes, minutes, and other documents relating to Coutts's long-term involvement, in a variety of different roles and capacities, with the Lester B. Pearson College of the Pacific (part of the United World Colleges network), which opened its doors in British Columbia in 1974. The files, which are a combination of Coutts's administrative and operational records and reference files, shed light on various College-related activities and intitiatives, including his contributions to policy development, elaboration of fundraising strategies, and partcipation in many different College events, meetings and functions between 1973 and 2003. Also scattered throughout these files are correspondence and e-mails to and from the College's Director, other staff, students, the and Board members, as well as various Canadian businessmen and politicians. The Series is arranged in 11 sub-series: Advisory Group on Pearson Memorial, Pearson Scholarship Committee, Pearson Scholarship Fund, Pearson Scholarship Briefs, Board of Governor Meetings, Clippings, Board of Trustees Meetings, Jules Léger Memorial Scholarship Fund, Memoranda to Trustees of Pearson College, Annual Meetings, and Executive Committee.
