Collection search - Canoe trip records of the Natural Resources Intelligence Service [textual record, cartographic material]

This accession consists of records created by the Department of the Interior, Natural Resources Intelligence Service. Records consist of four documents describing canoe trips in New Brunswick, compiled by the Department from unknown sources. Included are documents describing trips from Juniper to Newcastle, Plaster Rock to Matapedia, Plaster Rock to Bathurst, and Grand Falls to Saint John. Each document has an accompanying map which plots out the route. Records were transferred to LAC from the Maine Public Service Company in the United States. The records had been in the custody of Lawrence H. Alline, who was an officer of the Maine Public Service Company from 1926 to 1956. Until 1925 Alline had worked for the Department of the Interior.
