Sound recording containing: an edition of the radio series Music Scene - Montreal (recorded or broadcast on 13 October 1964), featuring orchestral music performed under the direction of Neil Chotem; and the 22 September 1964 edition of the radio series Mardi minuit.~Host Jacques Desbaillets introduces the selections performed on Music Scene Montreal: Green Blues (composed by Chotem); a medley of songs from the musical The Sound of Music (comp. Richard Rodgers), including Do-Re-Mi and The Hills Are Alive; Romantica (comp. Renato Rascel); L'amour m'est venu (comp. Pierre Roche); Gulf Islands, from Camera on Canada (comp. Chotem); Time for Timps (comp. Chotem); La Violetera; Summertime (comp. George Gershwin); I Can't Get Started (comp. Vernon Duke and Ira Gershwin); Ouragan; The Hills Are Alive (reprised as a closing theme).~Mardi minuit consists of the playback of pre-recorded music and the recitation by Jean Faubert of three poems by Victor Hugo. The Mardi minuit musical selections include 12 compositions sung in French by Gilbert [Bécaud?] and four compositions by the jazz pianist Dave Brubeck (In Your Own Sweet Way, Two Part Contention, Weep No More, One Moment Worth Years). <1h 27mn 46s>
