Documentary about a newly-released pedophile called John Lashbrook, the efforts of the Saskatoon police to warn the public about him and the media frenzy that ensued. The schools have also warned children. Police warn that he is at risk to reoffend but the rehab institution where he received treatment state that he is not a risk. Other subjects discussed include: concerns that the information circulating about Lashbrook are out of date and inaccurate; treatment for pedophiles; and teaching pedophiles self-management skills to lower their risk. Gray gives biographical details about Lashbook, who describes himself as a slow-learner. Rumors abound. Interviewees include: parents; the owner of a playground in a shopping mall; a Saskatoon reporter; John Lashbrook; Rick McCormick, executive director of the John Howard Society; Lashbrook’s psychologist; media reports on Lashbrook getting into more trouble with the law, charged with sexual assault; an independent contractor who was hired to renovate a building where Lashbrook lived; and Lashbrook’s lawyer. <21mn 25s>
