Included are excerpts of an interview of Jeyaraj. Subjects discussed include: his principles; articles he printed in his newspaper criticizing the Tamil Tigers; harassment he was subjected to by the Tamil community; and his being forced to close down his newspaper in April 1996 because of the harassment and his refusal to print only positive stories about the Tamils. Jeyaraj says the Tamils are not like other immigrants who choose to move to Canada. Most of the Tamils were forced to leave Sri Lanka, he says, so their hearts are still there. <5mn 58s>Language:EnglishNotes: -
