Series consists predominantly of sheet music accumulated and used by Douglas Stanbury in the course of his career as a professional singer. Also included are related scripts, a poster, repertoire lists, and a small number of works to which Stanbury contributed as arranger or lyricist. Among the formats in the series are piano-vocal scores for popular and other songs, operatic scores, song collections, scores for vocal groups, vocal parts, instrumental parts for orchestral arrangements, lyrics, texts of recitations. Many scores bear signed inscriptions and dedications from the composer to Stanbury. In addition to manuscripts and annotated published sheet music, the series also includes published sheet music with promotional references to Stanbury.
