Respondent 1 [Mr. Crowley?] details early efforts to unionize porters, before it was legal to do so, which resulted in the creation of the Canadian division of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters (BSCP). He also relays changes in porters’ experiences after unionization and the roles he played, as an elected official, in the BSCP. He ends with his reflections on the impact air travel has had on the railway.
