The accession consist of records created or maintained by the Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities or the Gomery Commission. Records include exhibits, hearings on application for standing, press clippings, subpoenas, motions, correspondence, background research material, recorded hearings, Reports and Recommendations Phase 1 and 2, consultation papers, written submissions, expert roundtables, etc.

Records found in boxes of 88 to 101 are part of the Commission's central filing system and are identified by file numbers from 1 to 10. Boxes 102-138 contain records from the administrative files of the Commission from file blocks 600 to 800 (Commission).
