This is a preliminary description; please consult the linked accessions. Series consists of footage of tests, experiments, and research that was created and/or maintained by the National Research Council of Canada (NRC).

Series consists of silent b&w 35mm footage from the 1940s depicting the testing of ASV equipment (Airborne Equipment ASV on Lockheed Hudson = Equipement Aeroporte sur Lockheed Hudson), and experiments in England with glider attachments for aerial torpedoes to study feasibility of extending range of torpedoes and their accuracy. Wing-equipped torpedoes are shown dropping from aircraft at high altitude; a final view is of a boat being struck by a torpedo. (Accession no. 1977-0241).

Series also consists of video recording of research tests performed in 1980 on the Augmentor Wing Buffalo Aircraft at the NASA-Ames Research Facility. NRC staff test pilots were involved in this research project. (Accession no. 1989-0092).
