Series consists of Gaboriau's freelance work in journalism and translations of non-fiction prose or proposed projects for journalism or translation which did not go ahead. The projects documented in this series include the following translation projects: a script for the Radio Canada tribute to Monique Mercure; sample chapters for literary translations; translation of the 1990 Graham Spry Lecture by Lise Bisonette; profile of visual artist Rita Letendre; non-fiction prose translations on absynthe; and maps. The series documents Gaboriau's journalism projects: First Person Feminine: a proposal for radio interviews and a book of interviews of prominent women writers; research material on experimental video; proposals for free-lance articles, radio programmes and university courses on feminism, Québec culture, children and culture; an article intended for City Women on Gertrude Laing; as well as Gaboriau's early work as theatre critic for The Gazette, interviews with various influential Cultural figures of the 1970's including Frank Zappa and Ken Kesey, and interviews relating to the October Crisis. Contains correspondence, grant applications, notes, drafts of articles, translation drafts, research material and clippings. Series includes recordings of interviews, radio programmes and research material for broadcasts.

General note:

These files were boxed up from Gaboriau's basement storage, with the exception of the accordion files of interviews from the early 1970's which were stored in an upstairs closet along with the audio recordings.
