A look at many of the members and officials involved with the Ontario Growers' Co-operative Company. Inter-title: "Grading and bagging onions for the first train of onions on record, crowning the development of ten years of onion growing in Essex and Kent counties." Shot of workers sorting onions into a burlap bag, with the word 'Ontario' stenciled across it. Inter-title: "Mr. A.G. Atkinson, President of the Onion Growers' Co-operative is, host to Government officials, dealers, commission men, farmers, and transportation officials." Mr. Atkinson poses for the camera. Shot of Mr. T. Howard James, manager of the Ontario Onion Pool. A group ofworkers pose for the camera holding a sign which reads, 'Onion Special for Montreal shipped by Ontario Onion Growers Co-operative Company grown in Essex and Kent Counties'. Inter-title: "Leamington girls enjoy onions - everybody does!" A group pf ladies pose behind bags and crates of onions. In the next shot they push over the crates, and bags of onions, tossing onions playfully at the camera. The film introduces the following members involved with the co-op; Eccles Gott, M.P.P.; Mayor Smith of leamington; Major Austin Smith, M.P.P., (representing the Hon. T.L. Kennedy, Minister of Agriculture for the Province of Ontario); and Mr. Phillip Henry, M.P.P. Inter-title: "Loading the last car of the 'Onion Special'" Sot of two workers hauling a dolly full of bagged onions onto a CN rail car. Inter-title: "Leaving Leamington for Windsor, en route to Montreal for distribution." A train pulls in and passes the camera. Inter-title: "Mr. T.C. Hudson, Superintendent of the C.N.R. thanks Acting-Mayor Eansor for the Bills of lading on the 21 cars." Shot of Mr. Hudson accepting the documents from Mr. Eansor. Inter-title: "The first time that A.H. Wilford was happy leaving the Border Cities. Railroad officials and citizens of Windsor gather to see the 'Onion Flyer' leave for Chatham and London where it was met by civic officials." Shot of several men as they board a train as it begins to pull out of the station. The film ends with Mr. A.H. Wilford, campaign organiser, congratulating General Superintendent T.C. Hudson, "...upon the excellent service en route." The two men shake hands. <8min 23s>
