Comedy in which Charlie Chaplin goes to a show after having imbibed too freely. He causes considerable disturbance to the actors and the audience, and is finally ejected. The second reel is described as follows: Charlie, dressed in a tuxedo, tries to find a seat in the theatre. He gets into an argument with a musician who is passing by. The musician gets pushed over and a fat woman is pushed into a water fountain. Charlie seats himself next to a pretty young lady in the theatre. He proceeds to make eyes at another woman and then goes to sit next to her. This lady's husband returns in the meantime, unknown to Charlie. Charlie tries to hold hands with the lady and ends up holding hands with the husband. Charlie decides it is time to move, but gets stopped by the theatre attendant who shows him into a box. The show starts with "La Belle Weinerwurst, a fat belly dancer. Pan to cheap seats in the balcony. A man, trying to open a bottle of pop, squirts it over the wealthier patrons below. A fat lady and her husband seat themselves in front of Charlie. Her hat is full of large plumes and it blocks Charlie's view. Charlie starts to pull the plumes out of the lady's hat and throws them to "La Belle Weinerwurst" on stage. She falls down and Charlie goes on stage to help her. Pan to the audience enjoying the scene. <30mn>
