Volume 4 is a red cloth-bound album with a burgundy leather spine and corner accents. "The Gift of C. Berkeley Powell" is inscribed in gold leaf on the bottom of front cover, and "Powell Scrap-Book IV" is engraved on the spine. The scrapbook consists of 50 sheets of light cardstock, and a back section that contains 13 sheets of lined paper. This volume principally focuses on the North West Rebellion of 1885, from a British-Canadian military standpoint. Drawing mainly from the Canadian Pictorial and Illustrated War News, it is an illustrated history of the preparation, deployment, and victorious return from battle from what was then the North West Territories. Berkeley Powell was interested in the militia's commanding structure and organization, and specific battles fought by soldiers of the milita and the North West Mounted Police. There is also an emphasis on the transport of troops via the newly constructed Canadian Pacific Railway. The second half of the album includes a number of images depicting the reception of returning troops, being welcomed by towns across Canada in massive parades.
