Description:

This film shows the making of pottery by the women of the Caribbean Islands, from the time that the clay is dug by men in the fields through the manipulation by hand into the finished form. Not all potters there use a potter's wheel so the complete circular form obtained by rotation of the wheel is not attainable. Finally the pots are baked in bonfires of wood and grass.
