Map shows the area from Newfoundland to New Brunswick. Rivers, lakes, towns and other features are shown and named. Much of Cary's data however was outmoded, for example many of the names on his map are incorrect. The map was first published in 1807 for Cary's: New Universal Atlas. The atlas went through numerous editions and the same map appeared in all of them. This map appeared in the 1828 edition, as the date signifies. It is interesting to note that while the atlas went through over 6 editions, the same plate was used with no changes except for the date and imprint.
