The radio maps are typical of many produced by the C.B.C. The television map, however, for the first time in C.B.C. Annual Report shows the completed trans-Canada microwave relay system extending from Victoria, British Columbia, to St-John's, Newfoundland. This system is 4,200 miles in length and is composed of over 140 relay towers. It was completed in 1959. The relay towers are approximately 30 miles apart and each offers an unobstructed line of vision to the next. On various panels of this folded map information is given about each C.B.C. broadcasting station, including the channel or frequency of the station and its output power.
